In a significant step towards fostering sustainability in plastics management, Patrick Lotz and Merve Özkan, two members from the Process Automation Systems Chair, recently participated in the Circular Foam project meeting held in Amsterdam, from September, 12th to 14th. The Circular Foam Project is dedicated to developing and demonstrating the technological processes essential for achieving circularity in plastics within post-consumer applications. Focusing on rigid PU foams commonly utilized as insulation in refrigerators and construction, the project aims to provide a blueprint for the systemic expansion of territorial circular ecosystems. More information about the project can be found here.
Merve Özkan gave a presentation about her "Systemic Modeling and Analysis Framework" during the project meeting.
Stay tuned for further developments as Circular Foam progresses in its mission to revolutionize the approach to plastics circularity and contribute to a more sustainable future.
