Summer School on Robust Model Predictive Control in Freiburg Brings Together Researchers Across Europe

From September 15 to 19, the Summer School on Robust Model Predictive Control took place at the University of Freiburg, bringing together more than 70 participants from across Europe. The program featured lectures by internationally recognized experts, including Jim Rawlings, Moritz Diehl, Joel Andersson, and Sergio Lucia, and offered a vibrant atmosphere with many inspiring discussions.
The five-day program covered a wide range of topics, including min-max MPC, robust dynamic optimization, multi-stage NMPC, and optimization with Modelica models via CasADi, providing a comprehensive overview of current research and methods in the field. Alongside lectures, participants engaged in hands-on sessions and discussions that deepened understanding and fostered new ideas.
